Darkness to Light is dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse through education and community empowerment.

- Adult Education: The core mission is to train adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
- Stewards of Children: Evidence-informed training program that teaches caregivers and community members actionable steps to build safer environments for children.
- Shift Burden of Prevention: The organization operates on the principle that it is the responsibility of adults, not children, to ensure child safety and prevent abuse.

As a Darkness to Light Authorized Facilitator, my core role is to educate, equip, and empower parents, communities and organizations to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse utilizing the Stewards of Children and Child Safety Foundations curriculum.
- Lead Interactive Workshops: conduct 2-hour, in-person or virtual training sessions
- Teach Prevention Strategies: the core principles of protecting children, including how to recognize warning signs and how to implement actionable, evidence-based safety steps.
- Promote Systemic Safety: Help organizations develop and refine child safety policies and procedures.
- Foster Community Awareness: Act as advocates for child safety, spreading prevention messaging and encouraging adults to take responsibility for child protection.
